What types of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, Visa, Master Card and American Express. We also have financing available through Care Credit.

Which insurance plans do you take?

We take all insurance plans except HMO and DMO

What if I don't have insurance?

We believe dentistry should be affordable and provide 12-month interest-free financing through Care Credit.

Do you have emergency services?

Yes. Contact us as soon as possible if you are experiencing a non-life-threatening, dental emergency.

Which information is necessary for an appointment?

Only your name and phone number.

Do you have financing options?

Our Care Credit financing option will help you finance up to 5 years.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes. Call our office and schedule an appointment!

What method do you use for nervous patients?

Our Simi Valley dentist office offers oral sedation and comfort menu.

Do you receive infants?

Unfortunately, we do not treat infants.

How often should I visit a dentist?

We recommend visiting a dentist at least twice a year, unless directed otherwise.

How much will a visit cost?

A limited exam costs about $85, but we do offer free consultations.

Is there a family discount?

Unfortunately, we do not offer family discounts.

Can I only have work done that is covered by my insurance?

Dental insurance is designed to help cover some of the cost of dental treatment. Limiting your dental work to just what the insurance covers might not be in your best interest.

Are you taking new patients?

Yes. New patients are always welcome at our Simi Valley office.

Do you offer late hours for those of us that have to come after work?

We have 5pm appointments.

How soon can I get this taken care of? Do you have a long wait before you are seeing new patients?

In most cases, you can get an appointment the same day you call.

Tuesday 8-5, Wed 9-6, Thu 8-6, Friday 8-5.

Dental Questions

How often should I visit a dentist?

We recommend visiting a dentist at least twice a year, unless directed otherwise.

What causes bad breath and what should I do if I have it?

The two main sources of bad breath includes plaque between teeth and tongue bacteria. Flossing and tongue brushing help a great deal with bad breath, also known as Halitosis, as well as regular professional cleaning.

How often should I brush and floss?

We recommend brushing at least twice a day, once in the morning and before going to bed at night.

How often should I have a dental cleaning?

On average twice a year. However, for some it might be 3-4 times a year depending on how easily buildup occurs.

Which whitening treatment is the most effective?

Professional whitening is the most effective whitening treatment, more specifically Zoom! whitening treatment.

I have big gaps in my teeth, what are my options?

You have three options: Braces/ Invislign, bonding and veneers. Additionally, a combination of the three methods as well is also an option.

Do teeth whitening toothpastes really work?

They are mostly for maintaining the whiteness but not for generally good for whitening.

Which toothbrush is better, electric o manual?

Electric tooth brushes offer better options. However, a good use of a manual toothbrush could do as good of a job, too.

What is decay?

Tooth decay is a breakdown of tooth structure due to oral bacteria and plaque build-up.

What causes decay?

High sugar diet, sodas, inadequate brushing and flossing cause tooth decay.

Are silver fillings safe?

Silver fillings have 50% mercury, which can be toxic. Very small amounts of the mercury can be released while chewing which over time may cause side effects in the individual.

My teeth are crooked! What are my options?

The best option is orthodontics to help correct crooked teeth (braces/Invislign). However, bonding and veneers may be used as well to give the appearance of straight teeth.

Who is a good candidate for dental implants?

Anyone who is missing teeth can be a candidate for dental implants. We recommend coming to our Simi Valley dental office for a dental implant consultation.

Who is a candidate for sedation dentistry?

Patients who have high fear of dental treatment or are undergoing a fairly long procedure can benefit from sedation dentistry.

Should I replace my silver fillings for white ones?

In addition to the possible negative effect a silver filling may have on your health, they are the number one reason for cracked and fractured teeth. As preventative measure, we highly recommend replacing all silver fillings.

How do I get whiter teeth?

Professionally, you have the option of whitening at home with custom fitted trays or in-office with Zoom. Over-the-counter products have limited success such as Crest white strips.

Can I get rid of coffee/wine stains and does it permanently stain my teeth?

Coffee and wine stains are easily removed with professional dental cleaning and in most cases are not permanent.

How do I get rid of temperature sensitivity?

Start with over the counter tooth paste for sensitive teeth such as Sensodyne, a new product by Crest.

Which toothpaste is the best?

Any toothpaste that does not have baking soda is good. We recommend Colgate Total.

Can I have a tooth colored filling? What are the risks involved?

Everyone can have tooth colored filling. It is the only type of filling we offer due to its safety, kindness to the teeth and beauty.

How can I get straighter teeth? How long will this take?

It depends on the method of treatment. Movement of teeth via braces/invislign can take anywhere from 1 to 2 years. Restorative options via bonding or veneers may take a day to 4 weeks.

How do I slowdown breakdown of teeth/fillings?

Avoid soda and sugary drinks at all costs. Also, rinsing with water after meals will go a long way to protect your teeth. We recommend eating a healthy diet and proper oral hygiene including regular dental visits will put you on the road to excellent and long-lasting oral health.

Is fluoride toothpaste dangerous for my child?

No, as long as they do not digest the toothpaste.

Is whitening my teeth safe?

Yes. There has been many scientific studies completed that prove it is a safe way to enhance your smile.

Can I whiten my teeth myself? Are there any risks? Does over-the-counter bleaching work?

Over-the-counter whitening or bleaching treatments have limited success in whitening teeth and work for some more than others. The best OTC product are Crest white strips.

What is involved in a dental implant?

Placing of the implant fixture is a relatively simple procedure if there is adequate bone. Proper planning and preparation is critical to a successful outcome. Once placed, the implant integrates with surrounding bone to provide a solid foundation for replacement teeth.

I brush my teeth like crazy, why do I still have bad breath?

Brushing teeth alone does not remove plaque between teeth. Flossing is needed as well. In addition the tongue is a source of bad breath and needs to be brushed. There are other sources of bad breath such as large tonsils and stomach problems.

How old should my child be before they start going to the dentists?

As soon as they get their baby teeth or around the age of 1.

Does my child have to go to a pediatric dentist or can they go to a general dentist?

Most children can see a general dentist.
